No-Concept Book, 2010

I have no particular statements about my Moleskine, because it is a “No-Concept Book”, which collects most of the signs I generally use in the drawings of my projects, such as “circles” and “holes”.

I usually have a light-hearted approach. I draw because this is my way to express myself, and I do it automatically. It is my passion, and this is the only thing that really makes me feel free, so I go on without limits, without following rules or insisting on a particular form, especially in the sketchbooks, which are just a collection of ideas, of things that can be possibly created and developed into projects. But in the notebook they seem to have no meaning, no context or reference, they are just things, notes, which help me keep track of thoughts that I can later refine, develop, or abandon. So my notebooks are constantly evolving sketchbooks, and I can’t really say that the one I gave you is more important than others. I just gave you something that is part of myself and that’s why it is so difficult for me to give it away…
