Our cities have a mass urban redevelopment process (Addis Abeba); whole sections of the urban environment are demolished and replaced by new buildings. Primary attention is given to commercial aspects and modernization/convenience. Little attention is given to the aesthetic element, even though it is essential because of the identity and the value of the properties and the inhabitants’ satisfaction. In this process, many people are disrespected and homeless. So, my notebook addresses the idea of sharing the pain of homeless people. Home, for me, is people’s safety (respect). Finally, I enter the notebook as a religious pocketbook symbolizing the safe home.
